The Melium Group started its operations in 1989 and has set out to bring internationally renowned fashion, accessories and F&B brands into Malaysia. It started with the humble beginning of the Aigner boutique, which was then followed closely by BOSS Hugo Boss, and it was the first Malaysian company to pioneer the global luxury industry in Kuala Lumpur.
To date, Melium has acquired the distribution rights to open and manage the operation of a wide spectrum of mono-brand stores, F&B outlets and mixed-brand boutiques, totaling up to over 50 international brands.
Now recognized as the paramount fashion and lifestyle retailer, the Group started the café culture in Malaysia through DOME Café. Melium is also in the forefront of mixed-brand retailing with HIT GALLERY by Italian fashion company Ittierre S.p.A, and Aseana, M Men and M Women, which are wholly conceptualized and operated by the Group.
Armed with knowledge of the industry, innovation, dedication and a wide-ranging portfolio of over 50 brands, Melium leads the way in retail by operating its businesses across key iconic shopping malls - The Melium Galleria in KLCC, Pavilion KL and The Gardens Mall.
In 1997, Insas Bhd, a Malaysian listed company invested in The Melium Group and became the Group's 51% holding company. This significant boost in the capital base allowed Melium to take full advantage of the growing retail opportunities in the country.
